There really isn’t that much spyware floating around in Mac OS X which is a wonderful thing, but it’s still nice to have the ability to check in case you suspect spyware is installed. The standard scanner that checks for malware on your system and removes it is free. If you happen to miss the boat, you can still download and use the spyware detection tool for free but it has some limited functionality and will expire after 30 days. There are now two versions of Malwarebytes for Mac, a free version and a premium version.
